For those living outside our region, a good place to view the impacts of turbines on the landscape is very close to the M6, within a quarter of a mile west of Junction 37.

Almost immediately after leaving the motorway to drive to Kendal on the A684, this is what you will see:

If you travel a little further (less than half a mile) you will see a footpath sign on the right:

Cross the field to the two-armed sign and the path then takes you onto Lambrigg Fell, from which you can see splendid views of the Howgills:
